Top 7 decisions of the Council of Ministers

Kathmandu. 7 decisions of the cabinet meeting have been made public. The main decisions of the cabinet meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Thursday afternoon were made public by government spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel.

1. Accept the grant assistance of 5 million US Dollars from the Asian Development Bank for life saving and immediate emergency rescue and relief work of the people affected by the Bhotekoshi floods.

2. To provide relief, tax, tariff and other concessions and other facilities under the Integrated Business Rehabilitation Plan to immediately resume the people, industries, businesses and businesses affected by the floods in the Bhotekoshi River of Rasuwa.

3. Permission will be given to import 25,000 metric tons of sugar through Salt Trading Corporation Limited and Food Management and Trading Company Limited at 1% customs duty.

TAG_OPEN_em_17 4. Provide risk allowance, lunch allowance, free medical treatment in case of injury and compensation of Rs 1 million each to the family of the deceased in case of death to the security personnel and civil servants deployed in the aftermath of flood in Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa.

5. To give a public holiday throughout the state of Nepal on the occasion of Jenji Martyrs’ Day on September 9, 2083.

6. To observe national mourning on Monday, the 13th day of the death anniversary of the incident, i.e., September 6, as a mark of respect to those who lost their lives due to the unimaginably devastating flood in the Bhotekoshi River on the Nepal-China border on September 22, 2008. On that day, the Nepali flag will be flown at half-mast at government offices across Nepal and Nepali embassies and missions abroad.
