China to exchange information on hydrological monitoring with Nepal

Kathmandu. China will continue to exchange information on emergency hydrological monitoring with Nepal. The Chinese Embassy here has said that it will provide this assistance for rescue and disaster relief efforts. It will also include information on the risks caused by the obstructions in the river and glacial lakes.

China Meteorological Agency has been providing weather monitoring, weather forecast, early warning and impact related services to Nepal since the landslide occurred along the Kerung-Rasuwa border between Nepal and China.

Following the disaster, the Chinese administration held video consultation with the Department of Meteorology and has been actively providing weather-related assistance for rescue and relief work in Nepal.
