Crowbridge over Tadikhola project to come into operation within five days

Nuwakot. The Nepal Army has expedited the installation of an acrobridge over the Tadi River at Devighat in Nuwakot district connecting Bidur Municipality-5 Devighat and Belkotgadhi Municipality-8 Jiling.

A study has been made to construct bridges in five places of Nuwakot and there is a plan to connect Nuwakot and Rasuwa by installing an acrobus bridge at Betrawati immediately after the Devighat connection.TAG_OPEN_div_34

} “The construction of the bridge at Devighat is the first priority for the construction of the bridge and to facilitate the movement of people from Devighat of Nuwakot to the district headquarters Bidur via Galchi of Dhading,” he said, adding that a team of 55 people has been working round the clock to complete the bridge within five days. ”

The Nepal Army has three existing bridges at Bhairav Battalion in Gajuri, Dhading, and will be used to operate the flood-affected areas of Nuwakot and Rasuwa. The Army had three bridges 75 meters apart.

The bridge being constructed at Devighat is 57.5 meters long and 5.5 meters wide. Chaulagain said that the Acrobridge will be of higher quality and more load carrying capacity than the Bailey Bridge. } “The Acrobridge will be three times stronger and more durable as it is a modern American look made by modifying the technology of the Bailey Bridge,” he said, “The deck will be made of high quality galvanized American steel and strong steel, so it can be widened with a large load-bearing capacity.”

Transportation has been hampered as the materials required for the construction of the bridge have to be brought from Gajuri to Nuwakot via Kathmandu. The target is to complete the work within five days if there is no obstruction in the arrival of construction materials at the work site and regular work. For this, 55 technicians have been deployed under the leadership of a colonel from the bridging unit under the Nepal Army’s Shree 14 Battalion Headquarters.
