Landslide obstructs Sanphe-Martadi road section

Bajura. The Sanphe-Martadi road section linking the district headquarters has been obstructed due to landslides triggered by incessant rainfall in Bajura. The road has been obstructed due to landslides at Prison Mode, Binod Memorial Waiting Hall, Selagad, Suwakandh and other places in Badimalika Municipality-9 of Martadi last night.

Similarly, the vehicular movement has also been obstructed at Rapka of Badimalika municipality-8 and Jadanga of ward-6, said Gagan Singh Bhat, Police Inspector at the District Police Office.TAG_OPEN_div_10

A five TAG_OPEN_div_8-member police team under the command of Assistant Sub Inspector Laxmi Dutta Bhatta from the District Police Office has been mobilized to the incident site immediately after receiving information about the road disruption.

{{TAG_OPEN_div_6} The police team is making efforts to clear the landslide and resume the road using the JCB of Badimalika Municipality and the Department of Roads, according to the District Police Office. Police said that there is a risk of landslides in other places along the road due to incessant rain. Vehicular movement has been affected on the Sanfe-Martadi road section due to the landslide and vehicles heading towards the destination have been stopped on the way.
