Parsa. Police have arrested eight persons for their involvement in gambling at a casino named Golden Finger Gaming Zone Pvt Ltd at Gandak of Birgunj Metropolitan City-14.

The police raided Golden Finger Gaming Zone Pvt Ltd based on information that Nepalis were involved in gambling.

Yadav, 36, Chairman of Sakhuwaprasauni Rural Municipality, were also arrested.

The arrested have been identified as Jaswanta Yadav, 36, Chairman of Sakhuwaprasauni Rural Municipality-6, Chandan Sahani, 30, and Om Prakash Baitha, 39, of Birgunj Metropolitan City-11.

Likewise, Inspector Pradip Poudel, 36, of Harinas Rural Municipality-7 in Syangja district was also taken under control.

Four employees have also been arrested on the charge of gambling by allowing Nepalis to enter the casino.

The arrestees have been identified as Bijay Kumar Patel (28) of Birgunj-14, Dinesh Kumar Patel (31) of Birgunj-25, Jayadev Sah (49) of Mahottari Pipara Rural Municipality-5 and Provincial Sah (50) of Birgunj-12.

Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Chakra Bahadur Malla said that further investigation is underway in this regard.
