Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has directed banks and financial institutions (BFIs) to resume essential banking services.
Issuing a public notice to the licensed institutions of class ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’, the Rastra Bank has decided to operate ‘counter/banking service’ to facilitate relief distribution, financial mobilization and rescue of the people affected by the natural disaster in Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts on August 26.
As per the decision of the Council of Ministers on September 3, the government has decided to give a public holiday throughout the country on the occasion of Genji Martyrs’ Day on September 7.
