Hetauda. Two persons have been arrested with 162 kilograms of marijuana coming from a vehicle coming from Bhawar of Raksirang in Manahari Rural Municipality-9 of Makwanpur.

The Area Police Office, Manahari, arrested two persons with marijuana when another pickup vehicle (Ga 2 Cha 615) was scooting a vehicle (Ba Pra 01-025 Cha 0877) coming to Kharanga. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Madhav Prasad Kafle of District Police Office, Makwanpur, said that 13 packets of marijuana were recovered from under the seat of the car.

Police have arrested the pickup truck when it tried to flee. The arrested have been identified as Dev Narayan Mahato, 56, of Madi Municipality-5 in Chitwan and Tek Bahadur Dong, 48, of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-24 of Chitwan. Acting on a special tip-off, a team from Area Police Office, Manahari arrested two vehicles and the driver along with 162 kilograms of marijuana, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Kafle. Further investigation is underway against the two arrested in possession of marijuana, he added.
