Kathmandu. The influence of monsoon wind is prevailing across the country. According to the Department of Meteorology, Hydrology and Weather Forecasting Division, the monsoon low pressure trough is around the average place.

The weather is generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Lumbini and Karnali provinces and in the mountainous and hilly regions of Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces while partly cloudy weather is taking place in the Terai region of Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is taking place at some places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, it will be generally cloudy throughout the country towards the afternoon. Light rain or thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at a few places of the mountainous region of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Light rain will occur in many places of the hilly region of Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at a few places of the hilly region of Koshi, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible at some places of the Tarai region and at a few places of the Tarai region of the rest of the provinces of Sudurpaschim province. Heavy rain is likely to occur in the hilly and Tarai areas of Madhes, Koshi and Lumbini provinces, and at one or two places of mountainous, hilly and Tarai regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there will be moderate rain and snowfall at some places of the mountainous and hilly region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and at some places of the mountainous and hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the Tarai region. Heavy rain is likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
