Half of the cylinders filled from Chitwan are being sent to Kathmandu

Chitwan. Gas entrepreneurs in Chitwan are sending full cylinders to Kathmandu.

Factories in Chitwan, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East), Makwanpur, Bara, Parsa and Dhanusha have been working for 14 hours a day to supply LP gas to the capital.TAG_OPEN_div_27

Bimal Kalakheti, a member of Nepal LP Gas Industry Association, said that Baba Saibaba of Chitwan, Nepal Gas Gandaki, Janaki of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East) and Nepal Gas and Narayani of Dhanusha are bottling 15,000 cylinders daily in two shifts. The plant is filling 24 cylinders in a minute from 24 bottling equipment.TAG_OPEN_div_25

Nobel Gas of Dhanusha, One (NL) of Bara, Jagdamba, Leo, Amber Gas, Suppar, Manoj, Sahara Gas of Makwanpur and Chandeshwori Gas of Nawalparasi have been sending cylinders to Kathmandu by bottling.TAG_OPEN_div_23

The factory fills around 10,000 cylinders daily. Half of them are being sent to the local market and the rest to Kathmandu.

Kalakheti said that all the industrialists are involved in everything from truck management to importing gas in bullets and sending it to the market by bottling.

There used to be a demand of 40,000 cylinders in the valley daily, but now there is a demand of about one lakh cylinders. On Wednesday, 53,469 cylinders were sent. This number fluctuates daily.

Cylinders filled in Chitwan have been sent to Kathmandu via Hetauda. Transportation is facing problems due to the narrow road and high traffic pressure and landslides that occur from time to time.
