Kathmandu. Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment Gita Chaudhary has inspected the Korala border point with China.

During the inspection, Minister Chaudhary took stock of the situation of import and export of agriculture and livestock products through the border point and the necessary infrastructures and process with the concerned officials.

She inquired about the necessary arrangements to make the trade of local products and agricultural products easy, systematic and effective. Minister Chaudhary directed the concerned bodies to identify the problems seen in the trade of agriculture and livestock products through Korala border point and make necessary facilitation.

Likewise, she expressed her concern that special attention should be paid to quarantine facilities to make the transportation and trade of mountain goats systematic and easy in Mustang.

Minister Chaudhary stressed on making the process effective by maintaining health and livestock safety standards so that there is no unnecessary hassle in the trade of mountain goats.

Stating that there was a need for effective coordination among the offices related to import and export of agriculture and livestock products along the border, she said the Ministry would take necessary initiatives to create an environment where local entrepreneurs and farmers could do business in an easy and smooth manner.
