Kathmandu. Nepal L. P. The Gas Industry Association has urged industrialists and businessmen to sell and distribute gas in the Kathmandu Valley at the current price.

The association has urged the gas industries to sell and distribute cooking gas at Rs 2,060 from August 18, saying there was no compulsion to bring gas through alternative route as transportation has already been opened by opening an alternative track along the obstructed road section.

Issuing a press release on September 3, the association has urged the NOC to increase the price fixed by Rs 2,060 per cylinder to Rs 105.35 and sell LPGs at Rs 2,165.

Gas industries in Makwanpur, Parsa, Bara, Chitwan, Nawalparasi and Dhading have been supplying gas cylinders to Kathmandu through trucks after the Prithvi Highway was disrupted due to flooding in the Trishuli River.

However, with the resumption of the road, Diwan Chand, president of the association, has requested the vendors to sell cooking gas at the same price.
