Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle is holding important diplomatic and bilateral meetings on the second day of his visit to India today.
He left for India on Thursday for a three-day visit. On Thursday, he held a bilateral meeting with his Indian counterpart Nirmala Sitharaman.
On the second day of his visit, Finance Minister Dr. Wagle will participate in various programs today (Friday). He will participate as the chief guest in the high-level diplomatic dialogue organized by former foreign secretary Shyam Sharan at 9 am today. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle will participate in the high-level diplomatic dialogue to be held at the India International Center. Swarnim Wagle will participate as the chief guest and share his views.
Today, Finance Minister Dr. Wagle will meet Indian Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar. The meeting is scheduled for 5 pm.
Today, Finance Minister Dr. Wagle will participate in the mega meeting organized by Javed Ashraf, President of the India Trade Promotion Organization. The program will be held at Bharat Mandapam where there will be extensive and high-level discussions on various dimensions of Nepal-India economic cooperation.
Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Finance Amrit Lamsal, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Gehendra Rajbhandari, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Nepal, New Delhi, Dr. Surendra Thapa, Economic Minister Taranath Adhikari and Private Under-Secretary to the Finance Minister Kanchan Basnet are also present during the three-day high-level visit of the Finance Minister. On the third day of the visit, the delegation led by the Finance Minister is scheduled to return to Nepal after holding meetings with the private sector and other high-level delegations.
