Flydubai to operate daily direct flights to Pokhara

{{TAG_OPEN_div_16}Kathmandu. Dubai’s national airline ‘Fly Dubai’ has announced daily direct flights to Pokhara International Airport as the second destination of Nepal. The company is going to start flights from September 22.

With the new service, Flydubai will become the first airline to operate direct regular flights from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Pokhara. Flydubai has been successfully operating in Kathmandu since 2009 and has served over 4 million passengers in Nepal.TAG_OPEN_div_14

Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of Flydubai said, “Nepal is a very important market for Fly Dubai and the expansion of direct flights to Pokhara is an important step to further strengthen tourism, trade and people-to-people relations between Nepal and UAE.”TAG_OPEN_div_12

He said that the company is proud to use Dubai as a world-class hub to provide more access and easy connectivity to the passengers. According to him, this service will be operated targeting the demand of passengers traveling from the United Arab Emirates, Gulf countries, Middle East, Europe and FlyDubai’s extensive international network. Located in the lap of the Annapurna mountain range, Pokhara is known as the major center of tourism and adventure activities of Nepal. The new direct flight service is expected to contribute significantly to the promotion of tourism, expansion of economic activities and international outreach in western Nepal.TAG_OPEN_div_8
