Kathmandu. Foreign investment commitments worth Rs 11.12 billion have been received for 328 projects in the two months of the current fiscal year 2083/84.

According to the Department of Industry, the commitment has been made in 3,231 small, 2 medium scale and 3 big projects.

According to the Department, the highest commitment of investment has been made in tourism and service-oriented projects on the basis of cost.

During the review period, Rs 3.74 billion has been committed in 70 projects related to tourism industry.

Similarly, commitment of Rs 3.30 billion has been made in 26 projects of service-oriented industries.

Rs 1.23 billion has been allocated for 18 projects of manufacturing industries and Rs 2

billion for 1 project of energy-based industries.

A commitment of Rs 20 million has been received in one project of agro-based industries.

Likewise, commitment of Rs 816.917 million has been made in 212 projects of IT-based industries.

These projects will provide employment to 3,447 people.
