KATHMANDU: Nepal Insurance Company Limited (NICL) has organized the second Nepal Insurance Cup Futsal Tournament on the occasion of the company’s 79th anniversary.

Various insurance companies participated enthusiastically in the tournament held at the Samakhusi Futsal Ground. The teams participating in the tournament made the competition exciting by performing well.

In the final match of the tournament held at Samakhusi Futsal Ground, Himalayan Everest Insurance Company Limited defeated Siddhartha Premier Insurance Company Limited 5-2 to win the title. Siddhartha Premier Insurance Company Limited was the runner-up.

The players who performed best in the tournament were awarded in various categories. Dinesh Kumar Singh of Himalayan Everest Insurance was adjudged the Player of the Tournament and Sunil Thapa was named the Best Defender.

Likewise, Roshan Budhathoki of Siddhartha Premier Insurance was declared the highest scorer and Sujan Ghimire the best goalkeeper.

In the closing ceremony of the competition, Chairman of Nepal Insurance Company Limited Mr. Chandra Singh Saud and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Bir Krishna Maharjan gave away trophies and certificates to the winning and runners-up teams. In addition, prizes and certificates were also given to the best players in various categories.

In collaboration with the tournament’s mobile app partner, Arena Pro, the live score of the match, the results of the match and various information related to the tournament could be viewed through the Arena Pro mobile app. This helped the players and sports fans to get information about the matches of the tournament easily.

According to Nepal Insurance Company Limited, the event was organized with the objective of strengthening mutual relations, collaboration, healthy competition and team spirit by uniting various insurance companies in a single playing field.

The excellent performance of the players during the tournament, the exciting games and the enthusiasm of the participating teams made the tournament more attractive.
