Kathmandu. The Department of Customs has collected Rs 102 billion in revenue till September 20, 2083-84. The department has set a target of collecting Rs 628 billion in revenue for the current fiscal year.

According to the department, about 16 percent of the total target has been collected till September 22. Now, in the current fiscal year, revenue of Rs 527 billion is yet to be collected.

According to the Department, the Rasuwa Customs Office has been able to collect revenue of more than Rs 100 billion even though the Tatopani Customs Office has not been in operation for some time and has not come into operation due to floods in the Bhotekoshi River.

According to the department, the revenue was collected through the continuous efforts of the customs administration despite the adverse situation.

The department has said that the customs administration will move forward by prioritizing the target of collecting revenue of Rs 527 billion in the remaining period. The department has said that in the coming days, it will focus on achieving the target by making revenue collection more effective.
