Gulmi. As many as 231 houses in various local levels of Gulmi district are at high risk due to floods and landslides triggered by incessant rains. According to the District Police Office, Gulmi, some of the families at risk are taking shelter in the houses of their relatives and neighbors.

According to District Police Office Chief and Superintendent of Police Bhim Kiran Bogati, 15 houses in Kaligandaki rural municipality, 30 houses in Satyawati rural municipality, 40 houses in Ruruchetra rural municipality, 12 houses in Musikot municipality and 25 houses in Resunga municipality are at risk of landslides. Similarly, five houses in Gulmi Durbar Rural Municipality, 70 in Chandrakot Rural Municipality, 15 in Dhurkot Rural Municipality, 12 in Isma Rural Municipality and seven in Chhatrakot Rural Municipality are at risk of landslides.

SP Bogati said that the details of the damage caused by floods and landslides are being received in the district. He said that the details of the incident are being collected as the details of the at-risk and displaced families may be added.

Police said that necessary assistance is being provided to the displaced families who are at high risk due to floods and landslides to safer places with the help of local levels.
