Kathmandu. The government has clarified that former Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana received a security threat from an unknown group and not from the Jenji group. The government said that Jabra has not been arrested and has been kept in a safe place due to security risks.

Talking to media persons at Singha Durbar on TAG_OPEN_div_14 Tuesday, government spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel said that Rana has received threats through phone and text from unknown groups.

According to him, after receiving the threat, the government kept Jabra in a safe place. “Initially, the threats had arrived. After the threat came, he was taken to a safe place,” Pokharel said.TAG_OPEN_div_12

} He said that the government has made security arrangements after getting information from Jabra’s family that there is an additional security risk. “Even after that, the family has come to know that there is still a security threat,” he said.

Spokesperson Pokharel clarified that Rana was not arrested but taken to a safe place considering the possible security risk.TAG_OPEN_div_8
