Flying of kites, drones banned in Pokhara airport

Gandaki. The use of kites, drones, balloons and laser lights in and around Pokhara International Airport and Pokhara Airport (Old Airport) has been prohibited.

Jagannath Niraula, chief of Pokhara International Airport, said that the public has been informed not to carry out the mentioned activities as it would have a serious impact on flight safety.

The KMC urged the authorities to properly manage the waste and dead animals as activities like dumping the garbage and throwing away dead birds in the canal could increase the activities of birds and wildlife and affect the take-off and landing of aircraft.

According to the Civil Aviation Office of Pokhara International Airport, stern action will be taken as per the existing laws if such activities are found violating the information.
