Kathmandu. The overhead bridge under construction at Babarmahal in Kathmandu is going to come into operation within this week.

According to the Road Division Office, Kathmandu, preparations are underway to open the bridge for the general public within a few days as the physical progress of the construction has reached the final stage.TAG_OPEN_div_15

The construction of the bridge started on March 4, 2082 BS after the construction agreement was signed. Subodh Devkota, chief of the Road Division Office, Kathmandu, said that preparations are being made to bring the bridge into operation for pedestrians within this week.

The cost of the construction of the bridge was fixed at Rs 25.2 million, 45 thousand 953. According to the Road Division Office, Kathmandu, the responsibility of constructing the bridge was given to Hi-Tech Engineering Works Pvt Ltd of Hetauda.
