Kathmandu. There is a forecast of snowfall, snowstorm and avalanche in the high hilly and mountainous areas on October 28, 13 and 14.

In view of the possible risks, the concerned department has urged trekkers and foreign tourists going to the area to take special precautions. The department has requested not to trek in the risky areas during this period.

Similarly, trekking will not be allowed in risk-prone areas during this period, the Department said.

Natural disasters like snowfall, avalanche and avalanches may cause loss of life and property, so the trekking authorities have been urged to take stock of weather condition and information issued by the bodies concerned and adopt safety measures before embarking on trekking.
