Kathmandu. The cabinet meeting held two weeks later has taken six important decisions. The meeting held on Tuesday decided to accept a concessional loan of $285 million from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and a grant assistance of $20 million for road improvements.

Major Decisions of the Government of Nepal, Council of Ministers on November 3, 2083:

Ministry of Finance:

– Accept a concessional loan of 285 million U.S. dollars and 20 million U.S. dollars in grant assistance from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for road improvements.

– To agree to invest additional right shares of Government of Nepal in Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited.

Ministry of Agriculture, Forest and Environment :

– To include nano fertilizers, biostimulants and organic and organic fertilizers in the list of essential materials for commercial production and sale and to approve the Fertilizer Control Order, 2083.

Ministry of External Affairs :

– Authorize a high-level delegation to participate in the 31st Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Climate Change (COP31) to be held in Antalya, Türkiye from November 9, 2008.

Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration :

– The landowner and the tenant of the tenant should apply for the division of the land and give permission to publish a notice in the Nepal Gazette extending the period for finalizing the action by allocating the land between the landowner and the tenant respectively.

Miscellaneous:

To recommend to the Right Honorable President to issue the Ordinance Drafted to amend the Press Council Act, 2048 BS and the Ordinance Designed to amend some Nepal Acts including Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
