Kathmandu. The Insurance Authority of India (IBA) has directed all insurers to give leave and extra remuneration in lieu of public, weekly holidays or working more time than regular office hours.

According to the NEA, the insurers have been complaining that their employees are working more time than the regular office hours on public, weekly holidays and regular hours.

“If the employees have to work more than the public/weekly holidays or regular office hours as per the business necessity regarding the complaint, arrange for substitute leave and additional remuneration as per the prevailing Labour Act and Regulations,” the directive reads.
