Nepal Airlines plane leaves for Dubai tonight to rescue Nepalis

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) is scheduled to repatriate stranded passengers at Dubai airport tonight by a special flight.

Issuing a flight notice on Tuesday, the NAC said that the passengers stranded in Nepal by a wide-body aircraft will be airlifted to Dubai at 11:15 pm today.

The government has decided to rescue the passengers stranded in Kathmandu from Dubai and bring them back home. As per the schedule, the wide-body RA 230 (Dubai-Kathmandu) will return to Kathmandu at 4:10 am on Thursday.

Amrit Man Shrestha, executive director of the NAC, said that the NAC is going to fly a special flight to Dubai for the first time after 12 days to repatriate passengers stranded due to the US-Iran war. According to him, priority has been given to the passengers with the concept of ‘first serve, first serve’. According to him, 270 to 280 passengers will arrive in Dubai tonight.

Amrit Man Shrestha, executive director of the NAC, said that arrangements have been made to bring the passengers waiting for rescue in Dubai.

According to him, RA 229 (Kathmandu-Dubai) will depart Kathmandu at 11:15 pm today and RA 230 (Dubai-Kathmandu) will depart Kathmandu at 4:10 am on Thursday. Only passengers who are unable to travel between February 28 and March 9 will be allowed to travel tonight. The corporation has requested all to travel by re-certifying the ticket from the corporation.
