Kathmandu. Several air routes have been banned due to tensions in the Middle East. A limited number of flights are being operated from Tribhuvan International Airport to destinations in the Middle East. As per the data available, 4,986 passengers entered Nepal on the Kathmandu-Middle East route from March 4 to March 12 while 4,177 passengers left for Nepal.

According to the information received from Tribhuvan International Airport, Fly Dubai, Air Arabia, Himalaya Airlines and Nepal Airlines have operated their flights during the period. During the period, Air Arabia’s Sharjah-Kathmandu-Sharjah and Abu Dhabi-Kathmandu-Abu Dhabi flights operated relatively more. Similarly, Flydubai operates its Dubai-Kathmandu-Dubai flights on a regular basis.
