A separate desk will be set up at the airport for citizens of Nepali origin

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: A separate desk will be set up at the arrival and departure hall of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) for Nepalis of Nepali origin and non-resident Nepalis living around the world.

According to the Department of Immigration, the decision was taken to strengthen the intimacy of the Non-Resident Nepalis (NRNs) and foreigners of Nepali origin living in different countries of the world towards Nepali language, culture and Nepali soil and to promote tourism and investment in Nepal.

The Department on Sunday sent a letter to the Tribhuvan International Airport Office to manage a separate desk at the arrival and departure hall of the airport.

The Association of Nepali Origin (ANO), an organization of citizens of Nepali origin around the world, had been drawing the attention of the government for a long time and demanding this. The organization has also welcomed the decision of the Home Administration on Sunday.

The Department of Immigration on Sunday wrote a letter to the Tribhuvan International Airport Office thanking Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal and the Home Administration for the same.

Issuing a press release today, ANO President Dilli Adhikari said, “Citizens of Nepali origin around the world feel honored by this decision of the Ministry of Home Affairs.” We believe that the implementation of this decision will contribute a lot to connect Nepali hearts and Nepaliness with Nepali. ”
