27 tourism infrastructure projects implemented in Mustang

Mustang. Mustang, Aug 13: As many as 27 projects related to the construction and upgradation of religious and tourism infrastructure have been implemented in five local levels of Mustang district for the fiscal year 2082/83.

The Integrated Service Office under the Gandaki Province government has allocated a budget of Rs 23 million for the development and upgradation of tourism infrastructure in religious and tourism sites of Mustang in the current fiscal year.TAG_OPEN_div_28

Nirpati Darji, chief of the Integrated Service Office, Mustang, said that the budget has been ensured for the implementation of 24 projects for the construction, maintenance and upgradation of religious and tourism infrastructures, while the remaining three projects will be implemented under the provincial government.TAG_OPEN_div_26 According to him, Rs 15 million has been allocated for the repair and upgradation of religious and tourist sites for the office and Rs 8 million for three projects approved by the state government.

According to the Integrated Service Office, five projects have been identified in Lomanthang Rural Municipality, one in Loghekar Damodar Kunda Rural Municipality, two in Baragung Mukti Chhetra Rural Municipality, nine in Gharpajhong Rural Municipality and seven in Thasang Rural Municipality for the current fiscal year.TAG_OPEN_div_25

Similarly, out of the three projects that are in the implementation phase after getting the authority from the provincial government, one each in Thasang, Gharpajhong and Lomanthang rural municipalities have been listed, said Chief Darji.TAG_OPEN_div_23 A total of Rs 25 lakh has been allocated for five projects related to religious and tourism infrastructure. Among them, the budget has been allocated for the repair and upgradation of four historical and religious monasteries in Lomanthang and for upgrading the infrastructure of one tourist site.

A budget of Rs TAG_OPEN_div_21 500,000 has been allocated for the maintenance and up-gradation of Charang Monastery in Loghekar Damodar Kunda Rural Municipality. Baragung Mukti Chhetra Rural Municipality has allocated Rs 1 million for two projects. The budget has been allocated for the repair and up-gradation of the monastery at Baragung Mukti Kshetra-4, Tiri and upgradation of the tourist trekking route leading from Chusang of Baragung Mukti Kshetra-3 to Tangya of Loghekar Damodar Kunda.

Gharpajhong Rural Municipality has a budget of Rs 5 million for nine projects.TAG_OPEN_div_19 The budget has been allocated for the construction of tourism infrastructures in Puthang cliff at Gharpajhong, construction of Jomsom tourist park, necessary tourism infrastructure in Eco Museum, tourism infrastructure in Chhairo Chhahara, Thini tourism infrastructure, conservation and beautification of Dhumba lake, Nilgiri view park and trekking route leading to Risum Monastery.

A budget of Rs TAG_OPEN_div_17 5 million has been allocated for seven projects in Thasang Rural Municipality. According to the Integrated Service Office, the dilapidated meditation room at Gurusangbo religious area, construction of Nakhedhara waterfall, tourism infrastructure and construction of trekking route from Chaktang to Khalhyu trail will be constructed. Renovation of Thakali Community Historical Kotghar, renovation of Nangsung Monastery, construction of Kalapani Syakupra tourism route and expansion of Kalapani Dusthill View Tower tourism route are among other projects in Thasang.

The Integrated Service Office at Gandaki state is implementing a budget of Rs 4 million for the construction of Dhaulagiri icefall trekking route and tourism infrastructures at Thasang rural municipality, Rs 2 million for the construction of sculptures and shaligram on the big rock at Kaligandaki River at Gharpajhong-4, Jomsom and Rs 2 million for the construction of tourism park at Jhong Cape at Lomanthang-1, Chhoser.TAG_OPEN_div_15
