Govt cuts SEZ budget by Rs 37.26 crore

Kathmandu. The government has reduced the budget of the Industrial Infrastructure Development Programme (including Special Economic Zone) for the coming fiscal year 2083/84. The budget presented by the Finance Minister in the federal parliament has allocated Rs 563 million for the programme.

This amount is significantly less than the revised budget for the current fiscal year. In the current fiscal year 2082/83, the government had allocated Rs 935.6 million for the industrial infrastructure development programme through the revised estimates.

Compared to the budget allocated for the next fiscal year, it has decreased by Rs 37.26 crore.
