Kathmandu. A passenger bus carrying flood-affected people returning home after the flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa met with an accident at Danda in Nawalparasi East. Of the 38 people on the bus, 32 were injured in the accident.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Anil Pandit of District Police Office, Nawalparasi-east, said that 27 of the injured have returned home after treatment while five are undergoing treatment at different hospitals.

Naresh Tharu of Bardiya, Binod Nepali of Achham, Shyamu BK of Banke and Mamata Pariyar of Rukum East are undergoing treatment at Madhyabindu Provincial Hospital, Nawalparasi East.

Similarly, Rita Gandharva of Surkhet is undergoing treatment at Old Medical College, Chitwan.

The bus (Lu Pra 01-001 Kha 0386) en route to Bardiya met with an accident at Danda of Kawasoti municipality-16.

The cause of the accident is being investigated, police said.
