Kathmandu. The government has registered the much-awaited Federal Civil Service Bill, 2083 at the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal registered the bill in the parliament today, according to Secretariat spokesperson Ekram Giri.
The bill presented as a government bill has registration number 35. The cabinet meeting on September 29 had approved the submission of the bill to the federal parliament to amend and integrate the laws related to the federal civil service.
The bill is needed to make the civil service professional, competent, accountable and people-oriented by freeing the administrative mechanism from political influence, making the administrative relation, scope and cooperation among the federal, province and local levels systematic, clear and effective in accordance with the federal governance system.
The bill aims to develop the civil service as a good governance-oriented mechanism committed to the national interest and the federal democratic republic.
