Global IME Bank Announces 10% Dividend

KATHMANDU: The 20th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Global IME Bank Limited has approved a 10 percent dividend to its shareholders.

The AGM has unanimously approved a proposal to distribute a total dividend of 10 percent of the paid-up capital to the shareholders from the profit of the last fiscal year 2082/83. Out of this, 4 percent is bonus shares and 6 percent cash dividend with tax purposes. The meeting approved the annual report and integrated financial statement presented by the bank’s chairman Chandra Prasad Dhakal on behalf of the Board of Directors.

During the review period, the bank earned a net profit of Rs 6.04 billion, up 15.90 percent from the previous year. Similarly, the operating profit of the bank stood at Rs 9.60 billion. With the distribution of approved bonus shares, the bank’s paid-up capital has reached Rs 39.68 billion.

In the meeting, Chairman Dhakal expressed gratitude to the shareholders for their unwavering trust and continuous support. He reiterated his commitment to expand the bank in a more safe, reliable and balanced manner by fully complying with the policies and directives of the government and Nepal Rastra Bank.

Global IME Bank has been acceded with various national and international awards for its innovative technology and excellent customer service in various national and international awards, including “Bank of the Year 2014”, “Best Internet Bank 2016” and “Best Bank Nepal 2024, 2025 & 2026”.

The bank has also received prestigious awards like Euromoney Award for Excellence 2022, 2024 & 2025, Best Bank ESG Nepal 2024 and Best Employer.

Global IME Bank is the first private sector commercial bank to expand its network in 77 districts. The bank currently provides its services through 341 branches, 366 ATMs, 147 branchless, 69 extension and revenue collection counters and three overseas representative offices and more than 1,000 service centers.

In addition, the bank is established as one of the major financial institutions in the country for receiving remittances from abroad through legal channels. The bank has been making a significant contribution to the national economy by receiving remittances from countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, and India.

Likewise, the bank as its corporate social responsibility has handed over a sum of Rs. 5,75,92,000 to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund (PMLF) for the immediate relief and rescue of the victims, including one day’s salary of the bank’s staffers.
