KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) General Secretary Bipin Acharya has said that both the government and the parliament should improve their working style to bridge the gap between the high aspiration of the people for change and the sluggish working style of the state machinery.
Addressing the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) today, lawmaker Acharya said that the state’s processes and working style were relatively slow at a time when citizens are seeking quick results.
He said that while evaluating the government, the new leadership should pay attention to the fact that the government had to handle the development projects that have been stalled for decades, the development projects that have been stalled for decades and the state machinery with traditional working style.
Lawmaker Acharya said that the opposition should give up the traditional style of protest for the sake of protesting against the government and criticize constructively on the basis of facts and logic. He stressed that adequate attention should be paid to the documentation, classification, prioritization and resolution of the issues of public concern even though the trend of raising the issues of public concern is increasing in the parliament.
