House of Representatives sends seven bills to committee for clause-wise discussion

Kathmandu | The meeting of the House of Representatives today passed a proposal to send seven different bills to the concerned committee for clause-wise discussion.

In the meeting, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Sobita Gautam, presented the proposal seeking to send the ‘Bill to Rejuvenate Some Nepal Acts-2083’ and ‘National Defence University Bill-2083’ to the respective committees for clause-wise deliberations.TAG_OPEN_div_18

Minister for Infrastructure Development Sunil Lamsal proposed that the ‘Waste Management Bill, 2083’ be sent to the concerned committee for clause-wise discussion. Minister for Women, Children, Gender and Sexual Minority and Social Security, Sita Badi, proposed that the bill to amend some Nepal Acts related to women, children, gender and sexual minority and social security, 2083 be sent to the concerned committee for clause-wise discussion.TAG_OPEN_div_16

On the occasion, Minister for Health and Food Hygiene Nisha Mehta presented the proposal to send the ‘Mother’s Milk Substituting Goods (Sale and Distribution Control) (First Amendment) Bill, 2083’, ‘Safe Motherhood and Reproductive Health Rights (First Amendment) Bill, 2083’, ‘Safety of Health Workers and Health Institutions’ (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083 and ‘Ramraja Prasad Singh Academy of Health Sciences Bill, 2083’ to the respective committees for clause-wise deliberations.TAG_OPEN_div_14

In the meeting, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Gautam presented the ‘Eighth Annual Report of the National Natural Resources and Fiscal Commission, 2083’ on behalf of Prime Minister Balendra Shah. The concerned minister tabled the answers to the oral and written questions that could not be presented in the meeting.TAG_OPEN_div_12

In the meeting, Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal submitted a notice of absence from 10 or more lawmakers for various reasons as per the House of Representatives Regulations, 2083.
