KATHMANDU: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Biraj Bhakta Shrestha has been appointed as the Acting Minister of Finance and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Finance Minister Dr. Prime Minister Balendra Shah has appointed Minister Shrestha as the caretaker responsibility of both the ministries in the absence of Swarnim Wagle and Foreign Minister Sishir Khanal.

Finance Minister Wagle is on a visit to the United States at the invitation of the President of the World Bank. Minister Khanal is also on a visit to Fiji to participate in the Pre-Cope Leaders’ Event.
