Kathmandu. There are only 15 days left for the end of the current fiscal year. Even after the end of the fiscal year, the government’s expenditure has been very slow.
With just 15 days left for the end of the fiscal year, the government’s capital expenditure has not reached even 45 percent. The government had presented a budget of Rs 1,860.30 billion for the next fiscal year.
According to which, the government has 72. 66 percent i.e. Rs 1353.65 billion has been spent. If the government is able to spend Rs 506.65 billion in the next 15 days, the government’s budget will be fully spent. So far, the government has spent Rs 895.35 billion towards current expenditure. This is 78.51 percent of the expenditure allocated for the current title. The government had allocated Rs 1,140.66 billion under the current head.
The expenditure allocated under the current head is spent on administrative, employees’ salaries and allowances, social security, payment of interest on public loans, financial transfer, various assembly conferences held by the government, interest subsidy given by the government, maintenance of various machinery and other public property.
The government has spent 44.76 per cent of the capital expenditure i.e. Rs 157.70 billion till June 31. The government had allocated Rs 352.35 billion for capital expenditure.
The government has not been able to spend Rs 222.34 billion in capital expenditure. Similarly, the government has spent 76.82 percent on financial management. For the current fiscal year, the government had allocated Rs 367.28 billion for financial management. Of this, Rs 194.64 billion has been spent.
Similarly, the government has collected 73.82 percent revenue so far. In the current fiscal year, the government has collected only Rs 962.19 billion against the target of Spending Rs 1,419.30 billion.
73.77 percent of tax revenue and 74.3 percent of non-tax have been collected. The government’s grant amount is 37.61 percent of the target. Barshaman Pun has brought the budget for the current fiscal year. Current Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel is implementing this budget.
