Kathmandu. A well-equipped tourism infrastructure has been constructed in Tarakeshwar Municipality-3. Minister for Forest and Environment Ain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri inaugurated nagarjun resort amidst a function here today.

On the occasion, he expressed the belief that the new infrastructure added to the tourism sector would attract domestic and foreign tourists and have a positive impact on the local economy. Minister Shahi stressed the need of proper utilization of forests, reservations, protected areas and national parks and linking them with the tourism sector. Appreciating the contribution of the private sector in the promotion of tourism, he said the government would always encourage the private sector.

Swami Anand Arun said that our country is a golden land for tourism and tourists from different countries of the world are attracted to Nepal. He opined that the natural beauty, cultural diversity and spirituality of our country have attracted all kinds of tourists.

Tarakeshwar Municipality Mayor Krishna Hari Maharjan, Deputy Mayor Srijana Burlakoti Aryal and Ward No. 3 Office Chair Parshuram Aryal expressed the belief that the resort would help promote tourism in the country.

The resort’s manager Abhishek Bikram Shah said that they will operate the resort with the aim of creating employment at the local level and contributing to community development.
