Stock market rises on last day of fiscal year

Kathmandu. On the last trading day of the fiscal year 2081/82 BS, the stock market has increased on Wednesday. On Wednesday, the NEPSE index rose by 34.61 points to 2794.78 points. Similarly, the Sensex rose 7.86 points, the Float Index rose 2.66 points and the Sensitive Float Index gained 2.82 points.

Along with the stock market, the transaction amount has also increased today. Shares worth Rs 14.34 billion were traded on Wednesday. Out of the 13 sub-groups traded today, the index of 12 sub-groups has increased while the index of one sub-group has decreased.

Today, the index of development bank sub-group has increased the most by 3.86 percent. Similarly, the index of banking, hydropower, production and processing, microfinance, mutual fund and non-life insurance sub-groups has increased by more than 1 percent today. On this day, the index of trade sub-group has decreased slightly.

Similarly, the share price of KBL Debenture 2090 and Three Star Hydropower has increased the most by 10 percent today. Similarly, shares of Green Development Bank, NIBL Stable Fund and Upper Hewakhola Hydropower rose nearly 8.5 per cent. The share price of Mai Khola Hydropower has fallen the most by 7.87 percent during the day.

Butwal Power Company is at the top position in terms of transaction amount. Shares worth Rs 618.7 million of the company were traded on this day. Similarly, shares of Radhi Power Company were traded for more than Rs 565 million and shares of Sanima Mai Hydropower Company were traded at Rs 400 million.
