Chinese Ambassador To Nepal calls on Transport Minister Dahal

Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song paid a courtesy call on Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal today.

According to Minister Dahal’s secretariat, issues related to the construction of the flood-damaged Syafrubesi-Rasuwagadhi road and border bridge were discussed during the meeting held at the Ministry today. During the meeting, China showed interest in the reconstruction of damaged roads and bridges. China has pledged to build a temporary bridge at the site of the border bridge as soon as possible.

Discussions were also held on other projects such as Tokha-Chhahare tunnel, Hilsa-Simikot road and Khandbari-Kimathanka road. During the discussion, Ambassador Song said that the expansion of the Kathmandu-Ring Road second section would begin.

After the meeting, Minister Dahal thanked China for its support to Nepal’s development. Minister Dahal expressed the belief that the ongoing cooperation between Nepal and China would be further strengthened in the days to come.
