‘Gothbas’ is attracting tourists to Bukipatan

Tourists who reach here by crossing cliffs, jungles and high mountains are tired. The gothbas (gothste) has been brought into operation for the tourists who have reached Garpachheda on a continuous foot journey from the Valley. Until recently, there was no other structure here except the sheep shed for rest.

Sandesh Thapa of Dhorpatan has brought the gothste into operation at Garpachheda, the gateway to Bukipatan, since last year with the increase in tourist arrivals.

Along with Thapa TAG_OPEN_div_32, local Mahendra Gharti Magar has also brought the gothste into operation from this year. Thapa and Gharti Magar’s gothste is nearby. They welcome tourists from Dhorpatan Valley. Gothste has become a place for tourists to reach Garpachheda after hours of travel. Tourists can experience the life of high mountains, glaciers and gothlas from Gothstay.

According to Sandesh Thapa, owner TAG_OPEN_div_30 of Gothste, the number of tourists visiting Bukipatan has increased this year as compared to the previous year. According to him, the number of tourists has started increasing in the recent past as bookipatan has started getting publicity in the media and social media. He said that the main purpose of operating The Bukipatan Gothste was to promote the area and serve the tourists. According to Thapa, the tourists living in Gothste are allowed to eat potato produced in Dhorpatan, meat of sheep shrimp in Bukipatan, lekali greens and flour dhido.
