30 killed, more than 1,000 injured in hospitals across the country

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Health and Population said 30 people were killed and more than 1,000 wounded so far in the violent protests in Jenji’s hospital.

Ministry’s Secretary Dr Bikas Devkota said 30 people lost their lives and 1,061 were treated at 29 hospitals across the country. He said that the Ministry has made public the details received by contacting various hospitals. That’s the number of violent protests in the Genji generation.

According to him, six died in Civil Servants Hospital, eight in National Trauma Centre, three in Everest Hospital, two in Kathmandu Medical College Sinamangal, one in Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, three in Frontline Hospital, two in BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences Dharan and five in Bheri Hospital.

At present, 274 injured are undergoing treatment. Similarly, 56 people were referred from one hospital to another and 719 people returned home after treatment.

Dr Devkota said that 48 people are being treated at Civil Hospital, 58 at Trauma Center and 20 at Bir Hospital, 25 at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, 24 at Kathmandu Medical College and 26 at Birendra Military Hospital.

The highest number of injured were treated at 436 Civil Hospital, 161 at Trauma Centre and 109 at Everest Hospital.
