Kathmandu. Member of the House of Representatives, Surya Bahadur Thapa Chhetri, has appealed to President Ram Chandra Poudel to address the nation at the earliest. Issuing a press release today, he immediately addressed the nation and appealed to the citizens to make them confident and confident.
Lawmaker Thapa said his serious attention has been drawn to the developments and activities that have developed in the past few days.
This is the statement issued by MP Thapa:
I would like to pay tribute to the promising Genji youth who lost their precious lives during this period. Since then, I urge the people to have patience with deep sympathy towards all the victims of insecurity, inhuman abuse, attacks, arson and looting in the situation of statelessness and security vacuum created in the country.
It is clear that domestic and foreign interest groups are active in the unconstitutional move of dissolving the parliament at the expense of the people. It is not only unconstitutional for anyone to try to move ahead in a way that is contrary to the discussion and decision of the constitutionally and sovereign parliament but will also be a regressive and regressive step to massacre the gains made from the repeated movements for freedom and human rights. It is only another election that will shatter the mandate established by periodic elections. The constitution has not envisaged the dissolution of parliament in an unconstitutional manner.
As far as the issue of change in the system of good governance and representation sought by the current movement is concerned, there is a situation that can be resolved through the amendment of the constitution and it can be done within the ambit of the constitution. It would be a constitutional and wise decision to move ahead with consensus.
Honorable President Ram Chandra Paudel
We believe that you have not participated in or agreed to the acts and activities contrary to the constitution and will not be. There should not be any unwarranted attempt to do such a thing to the honorable President. I would like to make a special request to the Honorable Speaker to play an appropriate role and protect the House of Representatives, where the people’s mandate and people’s sovereignty are exercised.
It is imperative for the Chief of Army Staff to direct the Nepal Army to the main task of maintaining peace and security and take initiatives to take the country ahead in the universally accepted democracy. Actions to the contrary will not and cannot be supported at all.
It is the parliament that forms the government. It will not be possible to move the country forward properly by abandoning or breaking or destroying this main path. Let no one make the mistake of stigmatizing history. Every pro-democracy party should pay attention to this.
I would also like to draw the attention of all the political parties in favour of democracy to clarify their positions and jointly mobilize for the protection of the nation, constitution and people’s mandate. Mr. President, where are you? Immediately address the nation and make the general public confident and confident!
