Dozens of vehicles left the Kathmandu Valley from 7 am to 10 am from New Bus Park

Kathmandu. Passenger buses have started operating from the New Bus Park in Gongabu.

The public vehicles which were closed after the government imposed prohibitory order and curfew due to the ‘Jenji’ agitation on September 9 and 24 have started to come into operation from today.

According to Pankaj Malla, chief of human resources of Lhotse Multipurpose Pvt Ltd, dozens of vehicles left the Valley from 7:00 am to 10:00 am today.

Earlier, the Federation of Nepalese National Transport Entrepreneurs (FNNNTE) had issued a press release directing its subordinate organisations not to operate vehicles under adverse conditions.

Currently, the vehicles have left on their own. Federation senior vice-president Saroj Sitaula said coordination was underway with the security agencies and the ministry to operate vehicles in an institutional manner in the coming days.
