Kathmandu. The government has issued a special agro-meteorological advisory bulletin after the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said monsoon activities would become more active from October 1.
Nepal Agricultural Research Council and National Agro Environmental Research Centre in collaboration with the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology have issued an agro÷weather advisory bulletin urging people to pay attention to agriculture during heavy rainfall.
Agro meteorologist Rameshwor Rimal urged the farmers to pay attention to the bulletin issued recently for the same.
According to him, the bulletin issued has asked to make proper arrangement of drainage of water to vegetables, fruit orchards and ripening paddy fields during the monsoon season, to stop spraying pesticides, to manage the structures near the rivers and rivulets in a safe place as far as possible as possible.
Likewise, the committee has also requested the authorities to study the three-day weather forecast bulletin to be issued by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology and manage it accordingly, to make arrangements for drainage of water as the monsoon is likely to be active in the paddy crop till October 1, 2019.
As there is lack of grazing area for bees during the rainy season, it has also been requested not to feed the bees by making sugar syrup, not to keep the livestock in water, to store the feed in a clean and wet place, and not to feed grass, straw, feed or grain in wet and flooded areas.
In such a situation, the animals have been asked to monitor the digestive system and digestive system as they may show symptoms of digestive system and digestive system. “Feed stored in cold places can be infected with fungus, which can lead to the death of livestock and poisoning. Therefore, the decomposed grains or straw may contain species of fungi that can cause cancer to animals and humans in the long term,” the bulletin said.
Likewise, it has been requested to monitor the cage on a daily basis, to consult a skilled technician in case of parasites, to make proper arrangements for the drainage of the fish pond by placing nets according to the size of the fish pond to prevent polluted water from getting mixed in the fish pond.
Information Officer at the Department of Meteorology, Dinkar Kayastha, said the weather remained cloudy throughout the country today as well and heavy to very heavy rainfall has been forecast in many places of the country from Friday due to the influence of the low pressure system.
