Pokhara. Pokhara—Pokhara entrepreneurs have decided to provide free food and accommodation to the tourists stranded due to floods, landslides and road obstruction.
The Hotel Association Pokhara has announced to provide free food and accommodation to the tourists who are in trouble in Pokhara and its surrounding areas, said Hotel Association Pokhara President Laxman Subedi.
He said the decision was taken to provide immediate relief to some tourists after getting the news that some tourists were stranded in the disaster. “The hotel association has taken this decision as a social responsibility in this difficult situation. We believe this will help in the safety and convenience of tourists,” Subedi said.
Similarly, other tourists currently in Pokhara will be given a discount of 25 percent on the prevailing rates of the hotel. Issuing a press release today, the NRNA paid tribute to all those who lost their lives in floods, landslides and natural disasters and drew the government’s attention towards the rescue of the injured and providing free medical treatment to the injured.
