Stock market rises marginally, transaction volume declines

Kathmandu. The stock market closed on Sunday, the first trading day after the Tihar holiday. On Sunday, the trading volume decreased compared to the previous trading day.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index surged 5.19 points to close at 2,509.04 points on Thursday. The sensitive float index has decreased by 0.60 points and the sensitive float index has decreased by 0.15 points. Shares worth Rs 2.79 billion were traded on the last trading day before the Tihar festival, while shares worth Rs 2.66 billion were traded in the market.

Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of five sub-groups have fallen. The index of the remaining 8 sub-groups decreased. The index of the trading sub-group increased the most by 3.05 percent on the day. Likewise, the indices of life insurance, production and processing, non-life insurance and trade sub-groups increased slightly.

Today, the price of SBL Debenture 2089 has increased the most. The company’s share price rose 10 percent. Similarly, the share price of Samata Domestic Laghubitta Bittiya Bittiya Sanstha has increased by 9 percent today. Shares of Taragaon Regency Hotel, which was traded today, fell the most by 7.16 percent on the day.

On the basis of turnover, Nepal Reinsurance Company was in the top position today. The company’s shares worth Rs 32.49 crore were traded today.
