Gandaki. The program is organized by Hotel and Restaurant Association, Lekhnath with the support of Nepal Tourism Board and Pokhara Visit Year 2025.

A 37-member tourism entrepreneur and tourism related delegation is leaving for the promotional program targeting Butwal, Bardiya, Surkhet and other areas of western Nepal, said Birbhadra Kandel, president of Hotel and Restaurant Association, Lekhnath.

He said that the program has been organized with the objective of increasing tourism partnership along with the promotion of domestic tourism. Meanwhile, the team also interacted with tourism entrepreneurs in Butwal of Lumbini Province today.

On the occasion, advisor of Hotel and Restaurant Association, Lekhnath and co-coordinator of Pokhara Visit Year 2025 Damodar Bhakta Thapa said that seven Ramsar listed lakes in the Lekhnath area including Begnas Lake and Rupatal have tourism potential.

He urged the tourism entrepreneurs of Butwal to visit the tourist destinations of Pokhara and Lekhnath area. He said that they are ready for tourism partnership.

Hotel and Restaurant Association, Lekhnath Chair Kandel said that both the sectors would be benefited by sending tourists to Butwal and tourists coming to Butwal to Pokhara.

Hotel and Restaurant Association Rupandehi Chairman Madhav Kumar Khanal said that Rupandehi was ready for tourism partnership with Pokhara.

According to him, Rupandehi is also home to many places of historical importance along with the birthplace of Gautam Buddha. Accounts Officer of Pokhara Metropolitan City, Chhabilal Sharma, said that both the destinations would be benefited from mutual brotherhood and partnership.

Suresh Lamichhane, general secretary of Hotel and Restaurant Association, Lekhnath, said that the team will reach Surkhet via Bardiya after holding discussions with tourism entrepreneurs and returning to Pokhara. Tourism entrepreneurs and media persons of Butwal area were present in the meeting.
