Kathmandu. At least 7 people have been killed in avalanches in Dolakha district. According to the District Police Office, seven people died while climbing Mt Dolma Khang at Gaurishankar rural municipality-9.
According to the office, 8 people injured in the landslide have been taken to Kathmandu for treatment. “According to the information provided by the rescuers, 5 foreign nationals and 2 Nepalis have died so far,” he said, adding, “We have already sent 8 injured to Kathmandu for treatment.” ’
It is not yet known which country the foreign nationals belong to. The death toll has reached 7 but the incident site is yet to be recovered. A joint team of all 3 security agencies has been mobilized towards the incident site for the rescue operation on Monday evening.
A 50-member security force comprising the Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal Border Outpost (BOP) Lamabagar and Nepal Army has been mobilized for the incident.
