Kathmandu. Dhruba Thapa, former president of Nepal Cement Manufacturers Association, has said that industrialists are ready to go for administrative review. He said that the industry has collected the first tranche of the amount and is preparing to connect the line and go for administrative review.

Speaking at a press conference organized by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) here on Tuesday, Thapa said that although the current agreement is not long-term, it has resolved the short-term problem. He said that the agreement reached as per the proposal of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) could be the starting point for resolving the long-term problems.

He said that in the current difficult situation, the power supply of 25 industries has been cut off. According to him, despite the production of energy along with supporting the country’s economy, electricity is being wasted without being sold. He believes that the workers are heading towards unemployment and within 15 days it has become a big problem. He said that the situation would have been worse if the situation had been prolonged for a few days.

“Let the press release or directive from the Prime Minister’s Office or the Ministry of Energy come as soon as possible. Thapa says, “All the industrialists have cut the cheque to pay the first tranche as deposit.” We want that after this directive reaches the authority, the check should be deposited and the line of the industry should be connected today. ’
