Tucker. Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has added flights to the hilly district of Bhojpur. There used to be only two flights a week from Bhojpur to Kathmandu but now there will be 4 flights.

Prakash Khadka, chief of Bhojpur station of the national flag-carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), said that the Kathmandu-Bhojpur-Kathmandu flight schedule has been added due to technical reasons. According to him, regular flights would be operated on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday to come into effect from November 12. Prior to this, the flights were operating only on Thursday and Saturday.

With the operation of another aircraft which was under repair, additional flights have been added to Bhojpur. The corporation has also been making arrangements for passengers to purchase tickets online through the official ‘website’ to ensure their travel.

The Bhojpur-Biratnagar flight has been halted with the resumption of vehicular traffic. The flight started from grassland in 2035 BS is now operated by NAC’s aircraft even though the airport has been blacktopped. Passengers travelling to and from Bhojpur to Kathmandu have been facing problem due to the lack of flights.
