Bhojpur. The Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has added flights from Bhojpur to Kathmandu and it has been easier for the patients referred from the district hospital to go to the external hospital.

The NAC, which has been operating two flights a week, has started operating four flights a week.

Earlier, it was difficult to take patients to the outpatient hospital due to lack of flights. Parshuram Karki, a local of Bhojpur municipality-12, said that the problem of helicopter evacuation in case of emergency has ended and it has also caused huge financial burden.

According to him, with the increase in flights, an environment has been created where locals can go to hospitals in Kathmandu at low cost for treatment. Prakash Khadka, chief of Bhojpur branch of NAC, said that the flight schedule has been added to Kathmandu-Bhojpur-Kathmandu. According to him, the flights have been operating regularly on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday since November 12.

The flights were operating only on Thursday and Saturday due to technical problems. The corporation has also made arrangements for passengers to purchase tickets online through the official website to ensure their travel.

Only Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has been operating flights to Bhojpur. The patients referred from the district hospitals are compelled to go to hospitals in Kathmandu, Biratnagar, Dharan and other places.
